SUR trustee gifting an electronic tempura to the kids from red light area at Apne Aap.
Sneha Chatterjee has initiated this project who herself is an advanced student of the Academy as a classical vocalist, performing and doing her Masters in Music. She is also running this project beside the banks of River Ganges in Halisahar to give a different taste and grow more subtle interest amongst the kids of the underprivileged sections. With her charming personality and affectionate smile she is making kids sing with her and enjoy. She is building up the relationship of the kids with seven notes to prepare them for broader pursuance.
SUR is starting a program for Kids with special needs under the guidance of Debapriya and Samanwaya. This venture’s primary aim is to do MUSIC THERAPY with the means of acoustic instruments like SITAR, TABLA and none other than the VOICE. They are also trying to give them senses about the instruments and the effects of sounds. Finally with the perseverance to get these kids acquainted and immersed with finer aspects of music going beyond any physical challenges, SUR team has been trying to find out ways to relate more with their inherent self.
